SW development for the Airbus A350 Flight Attendant Pane (FAP) configurator

The A350-FAP configurator is an application, that permits in a user-friendly way the generation and maintenance of FAP- and MiniFAP configurations of Airbus. FAPs are devices that are installed in several places of the passenger cabin of an Airbus aircraft. FAPs have a GUI by which the cabin crew can control e.g. the cabin lights, smoke recognition, level of air conditioning etc. All FAPs are remotely controlled by the CIDS SW application.

Project tasks:

  • Analysis of existing communication protocols between the FAPs and the CIDS software

  • Definition of high level requirements for a FAP configurator prototype (Software requirements document according to DO-178B)

  • SW-implementation of various components of the FAP configurator

Project environment:

  • Windows XP

  • Java, Eclipse

  • Eclipse RCP
