SW development for a data migration project ISO to UTF8 (EBI) for an internet provider.

Project tasks:

• SW development for common data search applications at the Linux level, using tools like putty and grep

• Composition of common procedure contents using Excel

• Translation of Char/Varchar definitions to Create Table-statements using awk scripting

• Analysis of data tables and translation into single command statements using SQL Interactive Tool

• Overall sum analysis of data table contents as prerequisite for the migration procedures from ISO to UTF8 using SQL scripting for Sybase IQ database

• SW development of SQL copying scripts to finally execute the ISO to UTF8 migration using PowerDesigner for the definition of the migrated tables

• Execution of SW-integration and system tests for the entire migration process

• Documentation of the migration process (MS-Word), presentation (Powerpoint)
