SW development with PowerBuilder and MS SQL Server for a customer in the area of energy supply.

Project tasks:

Adaptation of SW-interfaces for SAP data exchange
SW-development of Power-Builder batch programs. The allow the generation of export- and import-files for the transfer of data between a MS SQL Server database and the SAP system.
Transformation of a host based application for the import of COBOL-formatted files into a client / server environment, using PowerBuilder-scripting, GUI representation and data storage in newly created MS SQL-Server database tables.
SQL tuning, code review of existing SW, Enhancement of database design
Execution of plausibility test in order to eliminate error sources in the input data of the applications. Implementation of new functionality in existing PowerBuilder applications to document company-internal on duty time tables.
