Across several years Altair Systems has been responsible for the SW-configuration and administration of the entire RNC test lines of the load and stress system test lab of a manufacturer of UMTS network devices.

Project tasks:

• Configuration of the RNC databases with up to 1024 nodes having up to 3 cells each for the interfaces IuB, Iu and IuR (VPIs, VCIs). Configuration of cell parameters (Iub parameter, admission control, congestion control, etc.). Configuration also of the performance measurement counters at RNC-, NodeB-, and cell level.

• RNC SW installation.

• RNC SW patch installation.

• SW-development of tools for automatic RNC database generation.
